Shin hanga - The shin hanga (literally new prints) art movement in early 20th century Japan, during the Taish� and Sh�wa periods, revitalized traditional ukiyo-e art which had its roots in the Edo and Meiji periods (17th–19th century). It advocated the traditional ukiyo-e studio system where the artist, carver, printer, and publisher were separate, as opposed to the s�saku hanga (creative prints) movement according to which the artist should be involved in all stages of production.

Naka Bokunen - Naka Bokunen (born 1953) is an artist from Okinawa, Japan, famous for his brightly-coloured prints of Okinawan landscapes. Many of these prints are of, or inspired by, the island of Izena in the north of Okinawa, where he was born.
